About the Trust

The Studio Schools Trust is a joint venture between Edge and the Young Foundation. We are driving forward innovation in the British education system, working closely with a range of local partners and leading national educational bodies to establish the country's first Studio Schools.

The Trust is a membership body that unites all Studio Schools. We act as a linking point between Studio Schools, enabling the sharing of best practice as well as providing advice and curriculum support. Crucially, we are responsible for ensuring that Studio Schools offer the highest possible standards of education to their students. 

We are also developing the unique Studio Schools curriculum. Working in partnership with the country's leading national educational bodies including the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency and the Training and Development Agency, we are leading in the development of the innovative new Studio Schools curriculum framework. With a focus on personalisation, practical learning and paid work experience, it will make a real difference to the lives of young people across the country.

The Studio Schools Trust will continue to build strategic partnerships between all sections of the educational community as well government agencies and local businesses. Our current partners include Edge, the Young Foundation and the Department for Children, Schools and Families.
