James is a Studio Schools Development Officer. His responsibilities include facilitating the development and delivery of the Blackpool, Kirklees, Newham and South Tyneside Studio Schools.

James has a background in education policy and youth work. Before joining the Studio Schools Trust he ran the busy Westminster Office of a Member of Parliament. Throughout that time he provided advice and support to the Member in a number of ministerial roles including as Minister for Children, Young People and Families.

Prior to working in Parliament James was active in the youth work sector. After ten years volunteering as a youth leader, he took on a managerial post running a large youth organisation based in North West London.
