Three students from the Studio College, Callum, Lynden, and Siraaj are being giving a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit South Africa to learn about the country’s history and culture and find out more about life there after apartheid.
Year 12 students from schools in the Aspirations academies trust with a keen interest in space had the opportunity to apply to attend a fully funded field trip to see the American space industry located in Texas and Florida, run by Space Education Adventures.
Year 12 Engineering students Matt Tozer, Ed Reynolds, George Field & Elijah Dance from the Sir Frank Whittle Studio School recently became the first of their year group of students to complete the fantastic Industrial Cadets programme ran by Costain/Galliford Try at their Crick Smart Motorway Project Site on the M1.
Thomas Gorham carried out work experience at Mecaplast two days a week from 2014 as part of his course at Apollo Studio Academy. After his hard work and talents were noticed, the 18-year-old was offered employment as an apprentice in the tool room. He started in his new role last month.
