Bicester Students raise over £1,200 in fundraising project
Year 12 BTS business students have completed a project raising money for Katharine House Hospice.
Their fundraising activities were brought to a close with a final event called “Techno Night at the Races”, organised by students with help from Business Teacher Steph McNeil.
Parents, staff, employer partners and other members of the public were invited to the event, which offered cheese and wine, a cash bar, an organised “night at the races”, a raffle and virtual reality equipment to try. The event was held in the top floor of the BTS building.
In total, the students’ fundraising activities across the year have resulted in over £1,200 being raised for Katharine House Hospice. Congratulations to all students who took part in the project.
Steph McNeil commented: “The students have done extremely well and we are delighted with how much money they’ve managed to raise overall. The Techno Night at the Races was a fantastic success and the students did a great job – their hard work really paid off.”
